The Hancock County Election Office is located on the 2nd floor of the Hancock County Courthouse. The staff of the Election Division of the Hancock County Clerk's Office is committed to quality public service while exerting their best effort to insure free and equal elections for the citizens of Hancock County.
The election staff performs a varied list of duties, such as, issue and process voter registration applications, generate information to be used in the compilation of the jury lists, prepare precinct packages to be used in both the primary and general election, prepare candidate packages, assist in the redistricting/reprecincting process, monitor and update information to be included in the Statewide Voter Registration System known as SVRS.
In addition to the voter and election process, the Election Office staff issue marriage license applications and a citizen can request a certified copy of a marriage license for a ceremony that was recorded in Hancock County.
