As an additional task assigned to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, the Clerk serves as the ex officio secretary of the Hancock County Election Board and clerk of the Board of Canvassers.

Absentee Mail-in Ballot

You may receive your ballot in the mail by submitting an Absentee Mail-in Application. Download the Absentee Ballot Application (PDF) online.

Deadline for Absentee Mail Application to be RECEIVED by the Election Office for the May 5, 2026 Midterm Election is April 23, 2026 by 11:59 p.m.  Please note our in-person office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

By law, we cannot process late applications, including but not limited to applications that are post-marked by the deadline.
